A: A standard brake only presses against the wheel to stop it from rolling. The caster bracket can still spin 360 degrees, which can make a parked cart feel unstable. A Total-Lock brake stops the wheel from rolling and locks the swivel head from turning, making the caster completely rigid.

Q: Will these rubber wheels leave black marks on my warehouse floor?
A: Standard black industrial rubber can leave scuff marks under heavy friction. If floor protection is your primary concern, we highly recommend selecting our Gray or Blue Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) option, which provides the exact same shock absorption but is 100% non-marking.

Q: Which mounting type should I choose for a standard flatbed cart?
A: For heavy-duty flatbed carts and platform trucks, a Top Plate mount is highly recommended, as the four-bolt design distributes the load stresses evenly across the cart's frame.

Q: How do I know what size mounting plate I need to replace my current casters?
A: You will need to measure the outside dimensions of your current top plate (Length x Width) and, more importantly, the distance between the center of the bolt holes.
