Q: Can Polyurethane (PU) rollers be used in high-temperature environments?
A: No. This is the primary limitation of standard Polyurethane. PU is designed for brutal mechanical wear at room temperatures. If the continuous operating temperature exceeds 80°C to 90°C (176°F - 194°F), the urethane will begin to soften, lose its load-bearing capacity, and eventually melt. For high-heat applications, you must specify our Custom Red EPDM or Silicone Rollers.
Q: Why are they specifically colored Yellow? Can I get them in Black?
A: Bright Industrial Yellow is widely used in heavy logistics and metallurgy as a visual safety indicator, allowing operators to easily see moving machinery and verify roller rotation. However, because PU is naturally translucent, we can easily pigment the liquid urethane into Black, Blue, Red, or any custom color your factory's visual management system requires.
Q: Does Polyurethane have good oil and solvent resistance?
A: Yes. Polyurethane exhibits excellent resistance to most lubricating oils, greases, and aliphatic hydrocarbons, making it perfectly suitable for oily steel processing lines or automotive assembly conveyors. However, it should not be submerged in strong acids, bases, or harsh polar solvents (like MEK or Acetone).
