A: No. Lineshaft conveyors are specifically designed for light-to-medium duty applications (ideal for cardboard cartons, plastic totes, and lightweight assembly parts, typically up to 25-30 kg per meter). For heavy industrial loads like wooden pallets or heavy castings, you should utilize our Chain Driven Live Roller (CDLR) systems.

Q: What happens if an elastomeric drive band (O-ring) breaks?
A: One of the greatest maintenance advantages of a lineshaft system is redundancy. If a single drive band snaps, only that specific roller loses power. The momentum of the product and the surrounding powered rollers will easily push the box over the single dead roller. Replacement bands can be snapped into place in seconds using a specialized tool, without dismantling the entire conveyor.

Q: Can I run this conveyor in reverse?
A: Yes. Lineshaft systems are completely reversible. Simply reversing the polarity of the main drive motor will change the direction of the entire line, making it highly versatile for loading and unloading dock applications.

Q: Can a 90-degree curve really run off the same motor as the straight section?
