Continuous Self-Cleaning Action: The open helical geometry creates a continuous scraping and shedding effect against the underside of the belt. As the idler rotates, the smooth round steel flights dislodge wet mud, freezing coal, and sticky clay. Because there is no solid cylindrical tube for material to stick to, carryback simply falls through the spiral cage to the ground, preventing buildup.

Active Belt Wandering Prevention: By utilizing a center-out divergent helix (left-hand and right-hand spirals meeting at the center point), the idler exerts a balanced, outward lateral spreading force across the width of the belt. This automatically guides and centers the return belt, completely eliminating the lateral wandering that destroys conveyor structural frames and belt edges.
