Custom Tungsten Carbide Cable Wire Roller Details
Consistent wire straightening is essential in electric cable manufacturing industries. Wire drawing, stranding and cabling machines require reliable straightening rollers that continuously correct wire curvature while maintaining stable dimensional accuracy during high-speed production. The AstraRoll Solid Sintered Tungsten Carbide Cable Wire Straightening Roller includes both carbide roller rings and assembled rollers with shafts. It adopts integral vacuum sintered WC-Co cemented carbide blank, providing stable contact to eliminate coil-set bending on copper and steel wire. When wire passes through the roller assembly, residual bends are corrected to deliver straight wire feed for subsequent cable processing.
Compared with conventional alloy steel straightening rollers, solid sintered tungsten carbide rollers deliver outstanding wear resistance, lower thermal expansion and longer service life. The roller blank is made of virgin tungsten carbide raw material, offering stable surface geometry and minimal dimensional drift under continuous high-friction wire contact for cable production applications.
The AstraRoll Technical Advantage- Superior Wear Resistance & Long Service Life: Integral vacuum sintered WC-Co cemented carbide structure greatly reduces surface abrasion from continuous copper or steel wire friction. It maintains smooth surface finish for a much longer runtime than steel rollers and reduces frequent roller replacement downtime.
- High Dimensional Stability: Low thermal expansion property minimizes size change under continuous friction heat generation. The roller preserves consistent wire straightening precision during long hours of high-speed cable production.
- Flexible Roller Surface Options: Precision CNC grinding supports both smooth flat surface and customized grooved raceway. Grooved profiles restrain wire offset and prevent wire jumping for different wire diameters.
- Precision Machining Tolerance: Multi-stage cylindrical grinding and super-finishing ensure tight cylindricity and concentricity. It reduces wire scratching and guarantees uniform finished wire dimension.
- Fully Customized Geometry: Outer diameter, bore size, face width, groove profile and mounting structure can be customized according to wire diameter, straightener machine design and production requirements.
- Designed for continuous cable wire processing: AstraRoll carbide straightening rollers are built for high frequency cyclic operation, reliable wire shaping and repeated long-run production for wire and cable lines.
