100% Zero Water Absorption: Solid Nylon (Polyamide) is non-porous. Even when submerged or exposed to constant high-pressure washing, it will not absorb moisture, swell, or delaminate. It is naturally resistant to animal fats, blood, brine, and the harshest alkaline or acidic cleaning agents.

Ergonomic Low Rolling Resistance: Nylon is an extremely hard material (Shore D 75+). Because the wheel does not flatten or compress under heavy loads (like rubber or soft polyurethane), the surface friction is minimized. This drastically reduces the initial push force required by your staff to move heavily loaded stainless steel dough troughs or meat racks.

Q: Are white nylon wheels noisy?
A: Yes, because nylon is a very hard material, it will generate more noise on rough concrete or tiled floors compared to a soft rubber or polyurethane wheel. However, on smooth epoxy floors common in clean rooms and food plants, they roll very smoothly.

Q: Why use Delrin (POM) bearings instead of Stainless Steel ball bearings?
A: Delrin is a high-strength engineered plastic. In environments where casters are constantly blasted with water or submerged (like meat processing), even stainless steel bearings can eventually seize if the grease is washed out. Delrin bearings physically cannot rust and require zero grease, making them the most reliable choice for extreme wet applications.

Q: What is the difference between Nylon and Polyolefin wheels?
A: Both are excellent for washdowns and are highly chemical-resistant. Polyolefin is generally more cost-effective and slightly lighter, but Nylon offers significantly higher impact strength, greater weight capacity, and longer wear life under heavy continuous industrial use.

Q: Can these casters be used in bakery ovens?                  
A: Standard nylon is excellent for freezers and ambient temperatures, but will melt in baking ovens. For commercial ovens or autoclaves, you must specify our High-Temp Nylon or High-Temp Phenolic casters.
