Q: Is SUS304 stainless steel magnetic? My magnet slightly sticks to the caster fork.
A: True austenitic SUS304 stainless steel is generally non-magnetic. However, the heavy mechanical stamping and cold-working processes required to form the caster's top plate and yoke can induce mild magnetism in the bends and edges of the metal. This is a normal metallurgical reaction and does not reduce the steel's corrosion resistance.

Q: Should I upgrade to SUS316 stainless steel?
A: For 90% of food, bakery, and medical applications, SUS304 provides excellent and cost-effective rust prevention. You should only upgrade to the more expensive SUS316 if the casters will be exposed to high concentrations of chlorides (like saltwater/marine environments) or extremely aggressive industrial acids that would pit standard 304 steel.

Q: Can these casters be used in high-temperature bakery ovens?
A: Yes, the stainless steel bracket itself is perfectly suited for extreme heat. To use them in an oven, you must select our specialized High-Temperature Phenolic or Glass-Filled Nylon wheels, and we must assemble the swivel head using specialized high-temp grease instead of standard water-resistant grease.
