For applications requiring higher surface hardness, AstraRoll offers anodized finishes that enhance wear resistance while maintaining the lightweight characteristics. The non-rust property of aluminum makes AstraRoll rollers particularly suitable for humid environments, food processing areas, and cleanroom applications where contamination must be avoided.

Manufacturing Precision

AstraRoll's manufacturing process begins with precision CNC machining to achieve accurate diameters and concentricity. Each aluminum guide roller is then dynamically balanced to ensure vibration-free operation at line speeds up to the customer's specified requirements. AstraRoll can produce aluminum rollers up to 6000mm in length, accommodating a wide range of machine widths. For applications requiring dead shaft configurations with stationary axles or live shaft designs with rotating shafts, AstraRoll delivers fully assembled rollers ready for installation. Surface Treatment Options

AstraRoll offers multiple surface treatment options to match application requirements:
Standard Anodizing: Achieves HV300 hardness, available in white or other colors. Cost-effective for low-tension applications where basic wear protection is sufficient.
Hard Anodizing: Provides HV500-700 hardness with minimum 0.3mm coating thickness. Suitable for high-tension applications requiring enhanced rigidity and abrasion resistance. This treatment also extends the service life of AstraRoll aluminum rollers.
Teflon (PTFE) Coating: Applied when non-stick properties or chemical resistance are required for handling adhesive materials or operating in aggressive environments.
Chrome Plating: Available for applications where a harder surface with different release characteristics is needed.
Each surface treatment is selected based on tension levels, material contact requirements, and operating conditions.
