Product Overview:

The anilox roller controls the exact amount of ink applied to your product. If it's too heavy or poorly made, your printing will suffer from machine vibrations and uneven colors. The AstraRoll Lightweight Ceramic Anilox Roller solves this easily. We use a strong but ultra-light aluminum core covered in a rock-hard ceramic layer. This makes the roller much easier for your operators to lift during changeovers and stops the machine from shaking at high speeds. We then use precision lasers to engrave the exact ink pattern you need. Whether you are printing sharp packaging labels or applying thick laminating glue, AstraRoll delivers clean, consistent results every single time.

The AstraRoll Advantage
We engineered our anilox rollers to balance high-speed performance with everyday reliability:

Precision Fiber-Laser Engraving: We utilize advanced multi-beam fiber lasers to carve perfectly smooth, U-shaped cells. This ensures consistent volumetric ink transfer, reduces ink plugging, and makes daily wash-ups much faster.

Low-Inertia Aluminum Core: By replacing heavy steel with aerospace-grade aluminum tubing, we reduce rotational mass by up to 60%. This eliminates high-speed press "bounce" (preventing banding defects on your prints) while making roller changeovers much safer for operators.

Ultra-Hard Ceramic Coating: We plasma-spray a Chromium Oxide (Cr2O3) layer that achieves HV1200+ hardness. It easily withstands the constant scraping of steel doctor blades, maintaining cell volume and outlasting traditional chrome cylinders by years.

Anti-Corrosion Sealing: A proprietary nano-sealant is applied after coating to create an impermeable barrier. This protects the aluminum core from swelling or blistering when exposed to aggressive water-based, solvent, or UV inks.

Comparison Item AstraRoll Ceramic Aluminum Anilox
Vs. Chrome Plated Rollers Lifespan: Ceramic is much harder than chrome. It won't wear down easily, keeping your colors bright for a much longer time.
Vs. Steel Core Rollers Handling: Aluminum is incredibly easy to lift and install, preventing worker injuries and speeding up machine setup.

Why Choose AstraRoll?

1. Guaranteed Print Quality
We don't guess your ink volume. Every roller is scanned with a 3D camera before shipping, so you know it will print exactly the amount of color you requested.

2. Money-Saving Refurbishing Service
Don't throw away your old, scratched rollers! Send them to our factory. We will clean off the old surface, recoat it with fresh ceramic, and re-engrave it to look and perform like brand new—saving you the cost of buying a completely new roller.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: Can this roller be used with any type of ink?
A: Yes. Our sealed ceramic surface works perfectly with water-based, solvent-based, and UV inks without taking any chemical damage.

Q: Why do my current rollers lose their color density over time?
A: Dried ink is likely clogging the tiny holes on your roller. We use a special U-shaped laser engraving method that prevents ink from getting stuck deep inside, making daily cleaning much faster and more effective.

Q: How do I know what engraving size to order?
A: It’s simple! Just tell our sales team what you are trying to do (for example: "I am printing fine text" or "I am applying a thick layer of glue"). We will recommend the perfect setup for your machine.
