A proper offset smoker built from 1/4" or 3/8" steel pipe is a beast, easily weighing over 1,000 lbs. Standard hardware store casters will collapse under the rig. Our BBQ Casters are over-engineered with heavy-gauge steel rigs and high-capacity bearings to handle the massive static loads of custom ironwork.
