Tread Coning (Tapered Profile): The running surface of the wheel is machined with a slight taper (usually 1:20). As the cart enters a curve, this taper acts as a differential, allowing the outer wheel to travel a greater distance than the inner wheel. This naturally centers the cart on the track, reducing the grinding friction against the flange and ensuring smooth cornering.

Induction-Hardened Flanges: The inner face of the flange takes the brunt of the lateral force. We selectively induction-harden this area to HRC 50-55, preventing the rail from carving into the wheel over time.
