A pneumatic expanding air shaft uses compressed air to expand its gripping lugs against the inside of a roll core. Once expanded, the lugs provide a secure connection between the shaft and the roll, helping maintain stable rotation and torque transmission during continuous operation. Releasing the air retracts the lugs, making roll loading and unloading quicker and easier.
