Product Overview

AstraRoll’s Custom Blue PVC Corrugated Sidewall Conveyor Belt is engineered for steep-angle and vertical conveying of bulk materials in food processing, agriculture, logistics and general industrial handling where smooth-surface belts cannot retain the load. The belt consists of three functional elements: a base belt, corrugated sidewalls on both edges, and transverse cleats. The sidewalls prevent lateral material spillage, while the cleats support the load and prevent rollback on inclines. This structure enables conveying at angles from 0° to 90°, eliminating multiple transfer points and reducing layout footprint.

The belt is manufactured from food-grade blue PVC. The blue color provides visual contrast against most food products, supporting foreign-object detection and HACCP protocols. The material complies with FDA and EU food contact regulations. PVC offers good moisture resistance, resistance to common cleaning agents, and a smooth, non-porous surface that reduces bacterial retention. The base belt uses a polyester fabric carcass for dimensional stability and tensile strength.

Corrugated sidewalls and cleats are integrally joined to the base belt using high-frequency welding or hot-air welding, forming a high-strength bond that resists delamination under repeated flexing. The sidewall height and cleat height are matched: the sidewall typically stands 20mm to 60mm above the cleat top (or approximately 1.1–1.25 times the cleat height) to retain material surge and dust at the loading point and on the incline.

Cleat type must be selected strictly according to the conveying angle:

C-Type (Wave/Corrugated Cleat): Suitable for conveying angles ≤40°. Offers excellent flexibility over troughing idlers.

T-Type (Straight/Flat Cleat): Suitable for conveying angles 40°–90°. Provides a rigid support face for steep and vertical lifting.

TC-Type (Combined Cleat): Suitable for conveying angles 40°–90°. Adds side wings to the T-cleat for better sealing on vertical lifts.
