Product Overview

AstraRoll’s Heavy Duty Cleated Corrugated Sidewall Conveyor Belt is engineered for steep-angle and vertical lifting of bulk materials in mining, port terminals, coal preparation plants, steel mills, construction sites and other confined spaces where smooth-surface belts cannot retain the load. The belt integrates corrugated sidewalls on both edges with transverse cleats on the carrying side, forming a series of open-top pockets that prevent material spillage and rollback at conveying angles from 0° to 90°. This design eliminates multiple transfer points and reduces the overall conveyor footprint compared with conventional multi-stage systems.

The base belt uses a cross-rigid construction with EP or NN fabric plies, reinforced with transverse stiffeners to prevent belt sagging and maintain the trough shape under heavy loads. The sidewalls and cleats are hot-vulcanized to the base belt, creating a high-strength bond that resists delamination under repeated flexing and heavy impact. The sidewall profile is designed to flex smoothly around small-diameter pulleys while maintaining the material pocket.

Cleat type must be selected strictly according to the conveying angle:

C-Type (Wave/Corrugated Cleat): Suitable for conveying angles ≤40°. Offers excellent flexibility for troughing over idlers.

T-Type (Straight/Flat Cleat): Suitable for conveying angles 40°–90°. Provides a rigid support face for steep and vertical lifting.

TC-Type (Combined Cleat): Suitable for conveying angles 40°–90°. Adds side wings to the T-cleat for better sealing and material retention on vertical lifts.

Sidewall heights are available up to 500mm, with cleat heights matched accordingly to maintain the pocket geometry. The rubber cover is compounded for high abrasion resistance (≥15 MPa), with optional heat-resistant, oil-resistant or flame-retardant grades available. Custom belt widths, cleat pitches, fabric constructions and rubber grades are available to match specific conveyor systems.
