Custom Flame Resistant EP Rubber Mining Conveyor Belt Details
Product Overview
AstraRoll’s Custom Flame Resistant EP Rubber Mining Conveyor Belt is engineered for high-temperature material transport in underground coal mining, cement plants, steel mills, and power stations where fire safety and heat resistance are mandatory. The belt combines a specially formulated flame-retardant and heat-resistant cover with an EP (polyester-polyamide) fabric carcass, delivering dual protection against fire propagation and thermal degradation.
The cover compound uses special rubber polymers such as EPDM or SBR, selected for sustained elevated temperatures. The flame-retardant system complies with DIN 22102 K grade, tested to ISO 340 for flame propagation and ISO 284 for anti-static properties. Heat resistance is available in T1, T2, and T3 grades according to DIN 22102 or ISO 4195, enabling continuous material temperatures up to 100°C, 125°C, or 150°C respectively, with peak tolerance up to 170°C for short intervals in T3 grade. The EP carcass provides low elongation in the warp direction for stable tension control and excellent troughability in the weft direction. Available in 2–5 plies, EP100–EP500, for medium to long distance and heavy-load transport. Polyester fabric offers good water resistance, wet strength without mould, and reliable performance in humid underground conditions.

Application Industrial
Underground Coal Mining: Coal transport where flame resistance and anti-static properties are mandatory.
Cement Plants: Clinker, cement, and high-temperature raw materials in kiln feed and cooling lines.
Steel & Metallurgy: Sinter, coke, and hot iron ore conveying where material temperatures exceed 100°C.
Power Plants: Coal and biomass feeding lines, boiler feed and ash handling systems.
Coke Wharf: Flame-retardant and heat-resistant belt for coke wharf service.
Tunnelling & Underground Engineering: Muck removal and material transport with fire safety requirements.
Why Choose AstraRoll’s Custom Flame Resistant EP Rubber Mining Conveyor Belt?
Dual Protection – Flame Resistant & Heat Resistant: The cover combines DIN 22102 K grade flame retardancy (ISO 340) with T1/T2/T3 heat resistance (DIN 22102 or ISO 4195). This dual protection is essential for coke wharf, cement kiln feed, and sinter cooling lines where fire safety and elevated material temperatures coexist.
High-Strength EP Carcass: The EP fabric carcass (polyester warp, polyamide weft) delivers high tensile strength, low warp elongation for stable tension control, and excellent weft troughability. Available in EP100–EP500 with 2–5 plies for medium to long distance and heavy-load transport.
Good Water Resistance & Wet Strength: Polyester fabric provides excellent water resistance, maintains wet strength without degradation, and resists mould growth, ensuring reliable performance in humid underground mining and cement plant environments.
Abrasion & Impact Resistant Cover: The high-grade rubber cover resists cutting, gouging, and wear from abrasive coal, coke, and cement clinker, extending belt service life and reducing replacement frequency.
Customizable Configuration: Fabric type (EP100–EP500), ply count, belt width, cover thickness, heat resistance grade (T1/T2/T3), rubber compound, and belt length are fully customizable. AstraRoll provides one-stop supply, strict quality control, and long-term technical support to reduce downtime and total cost of ownership.
Complete Conveyor System Supply: In addition to conveyor belts, AstraRoll supplies complete belt conveyor systems and components including idler rollers, drive pulleys, bend pulleys, and take-up pulleys for mining, quarrying, cement, coal, and bulk material handling.
