Product Overview:

AstraRoll‘s Custom Heavy Duty Rubber Lagged Drive Pulley is engineered to transmit driving force to the conveyor belt in mining, quarrying, cement, and bulk material handling systems. The diamond grooved rubber lagging increases the coefficient of friction between the pulley and the belt, reducing slip and enabling lower take-up tension. The grooves channel water and fines out of the contact zone for reliable grip in wet and dirty conditions.
Manufactured with a Q235 carbon steel shell, 45# steel shaft, and heavy-duty bearing housing, this pulley is built for continuous operation under high load. The rubber lagging is hot-vulcanized to the shell for strong adhesion and long service life. Custom diameters, face widths, shaft diameters, and lagging patterns are available to match specific conveyor systems. AstraRoll provides one-stop supply, strict quality control, and long-term technical support.

Industry Applications: Industry, Logistics Conveyor Systems, Medical

Custom Heavy Duty Rubber Lagged Drive Pulley Details

Product Overview

AstraRoll's Custom Heavy Duty Rubber Lagged Drive Pulley is engineered to transmit driving force to the conveyor belt in mining, quarrying, cement, coal, and bulk material handling systems. As the primary drive component of a belt conveyor, the pulley's rubber lagging increases the coefficient of friction between the pulley face and the belt, reducing slip and enabling lower take-up tension.

The diamond grooved lagging pattern is designed to shed water and slurry from the contact zone, maintaining grip in wet, muddy, and dirty conditions. The rubber lagging is hot-vulcanized to the steel shell, creating a strong chemical and mechanical bond that resists delamination under high load.

The pulley features a Q235 carbon steel shell and 45# steel shaft, supported by heavy-duty bearing housings with deep groove ball bearings or spherical roller bearings depending on load requirements. The shaft ends are machined for keyed or locking assembly connection. Custom diameters, face widths, shaft diameters, lagging thicknesses, and grooving patterns are available to match specific conveyor configurations.

Why Choose AstraRoll's Custom Heavy Duty Rubber Lagged Drive Pulley?

Diamond Grooved Lagging for Superior Grip: The diamond pattern is based on rain tire tread design, providing superior water-shedding characteristics and maintaining friction in wet and dirty environments. Grooved lagging helps prevent belt slippage and reduces belt wear by channeling water and fines out of the contact zone.

Heavy-Duty Steel Construction: Q235 carbon steel shell and 45# steel shaft provide structural strength and load-bearing capacity for continuous operation under high tension. The shell is machined for concentricity and dynamically balanced to reduce vibration.

Hot Vulcanized Lagging Bond: The rubber lagging is hot-vulcanized to the steel shell, creating a strong metallurgical bond that resists delamination under high load and repeated flexing. Vulcanized lagging is the preferred method for heavy-duty and severe service applications.

Reliable Bearing & Sealing System: Heavy-duty bearing housings with labyrinth seals prevent dust and moisture from contaminating the bearing, extending maintenance intervals in abrasive environments.

Customizable Configuration: Pulley diameter, face width, shaft diameter, lagging thickness, lagging pattern, and bearing type are fully customizable to match specific conveyor systems and load requirements. AstraRoll provides one-stop supply, strict quality control from raw material to finished product, and long-term technical support to reduce downtime and total cost of ownership.

Complete Conveyor System Supply: In addition to drive pulleys, AstraRoll supplies complete belt conveyor systems and components including idler rollers, bend pulleys, take-up pulleys, and conveyor belts for mining, quarrying, cement, coal, and bulk material handling.
